Privacy
Motile is built so that your work stays on your own machines. This page says what the service at motile.app stores and what it never sees.
What we store
- Your Google account's basics: its identifier, your email address, your name and your profile picture, as Google gives them to us when you sign in.
- Your devices: for each client and each server you link, its public key, the name you see for it, its platform and when it was linked.
- Short-lived sign-in and install codes: stored as hashes and deleted when they expire, within an hour.
- Your sessions on the web: signing in at app.motile.app opens a session that lasts 30 days. We store its hash, and your browser keeps it in one cookie. We set no other cookies.
What we never see
- Your threads, prompts, code and files. They live on your servers and in the client on your devices. The client connects straight to your server, encrypted end to end with the devices' keys.
- Your agents' sign-ins. Claude Code and Codex are signed in on your servers, not with us.
When a client and a server can't reach each other directly, their traffic passes through one of iroh's public relays. It stays encrypted between the two devices; the relay can't read it.
How we use it
Only to sign you in and to tell your servers which clients are yours. We don't sell it, share it or use it for advertising.
Deleting it
Signing out of a client removes that client from your account, and you can remove any client or server at app.motile.app. To delete your account, write to [email protected].
